Dr. Paul J. Francois

Dr. Francois obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in medical microbiology with high honors and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Georgia in 1977. In 1982 he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, also from UGA. He opened GBVH in 1991. His primary medical interest is small animals. He enjoys skiing, fishing, surfing and playing piano. He is married with three wonderful children. He has had various pets through the years, and currently has one cat, and various fish.

Dr. Wood was born in San Diego, California. Being in a Navy family, she traveled much when growing up. She attended the University of Wyoming for her undergraduate studies. She received a Bachelors of Science degree in Veterinary Science in 1983 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1986 from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced small animal emergency and critical care medicine for 7 years in Denver, Colorado before moving to San Diego where she practiced emergency and critical care medicine for 4 years. There she met her husband Ron, a naval aviator and they were transferred to Virginia Beach in 1996, where she practiced emergency and critical care medicine at a local veterinary specialty referral hospital for 8 years. She joined the staff of General Booth Veterinary Hospital in 2006. Her veterinary interests include feline and canine emergency, critical care and internal medicine. Her outside interests are decorating, scrapbooking, and soccer. Dr. Wood and her husband Ron have two daughters, Tawny and Kenzie. They also have two cats, Karkus and Buzzard , and a dog, Billy.

Dr. McMillan obtained he Bachelor's degree in Microbiology with highest honors from Auburn University and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine with high honors at the University of Georga. She then went to complete a Small Animal Rotating Internship at the Virgina Maryland Regional Collage of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. She lived in Atlanta, Georgia prior to moving to Virginia Beach and joining the staff at General Booth Veterinary Hospital in 2011. Her interests include canine and feline internal medicine as well as emergency medicine. In her free time, DR. McMillan enjoys playing tennis, walking her dog Lexie, and watching Aubirn football |

Dr. Sorrell is a native of North Carolina. He attended North Carolina State University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Zoology in 1995. He then attended NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine where he obtained his Doctorate in 2000. After graduation, he practiced as a member of a large companion animal practice in the Raleigh-Durham area for three years before moving to Virginia Beach and joining the staff of GBVH in 2003. His interests include canine and feline internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery and advanced dentistry. Dr. Sorrell and his wife Elizabeth have with 2 sons, Ethan and Austin. They also have three dogs, Arson, Scout, and Shiner. His outside interests include competitive bicycle racing, fishing, bird hunting, and spending time with his family. |

Dr. Lindsay Califf obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2009. She then practiced in North Carolina for several years before joining the General Booth Veterinary Hospital staff in 2011. Her interests include internal medicine and oncology. In addition to dogs and cats Dr. Califf also takes care of small mammals and pocket pets. She has two dogs |
